1031 Exchange Property Identification

Once you sell your property, if you're like most sellers you'll want to defer paying capital gains taxes on the transaction, and the best way to do that is through a like-kind (1031) exchange. You have 45 days from closing on the relinquished property to ID the replacement property and 180 days to close on the new property.
